Does it seem like everyone you know is using Twitter but you?

If that's how it feels, it might be time to join the party. Twitter is part of the social media revolution and is changing the way we communicate, market our businesses, and interact with our customers. Business owners just like you are using it every day as part of their overall marketing plan, and it's working! Learn what they know and start putting Twitter to work for your business!

BY THE TIME THIS CLASS IS OVER YOU WILL:

  • Have a Twitter account
  • Have a written profile about yourself with photo
  • Have several followers
  • Be following at least 25 people and know how to follow more
  • Have had at least one conversation on twitter
  • Know how to search for specific people
  • HAVE ALL YOUR TWITTER QUESTIONS ANSWERED!

WHAT IS THE FORMAT?

This is a When Everything Clicks HOW class: Hands On Workshop! Part of it will be presentation style but we'll also have you get your laptops going, so you can get your tweet on! Your instructors will be there to walk you through step by step how to set up your account and then gently nudge you out of the Twitter nest! NOTE: This class will be limited to 10 people, so you'll be sure to get one on one instruction as needed.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The Power Of Twitter is for people who are new to Twitter. You may or may not have a Twitter account yet, but even if you do, you're not quite sure what to do. This class will help!

Whether you are a CEO or a plumber, a real estate agent or a pet sitter, recently unemployed or a budding entrepreneur, retired or still in school, this class is for you. Social media tools, like Twitter, are changing the landscape of how business and networking is done. People are using Twitter to keep in touch, promote their products and services, and even find a new job! So, because there are so many ways to use Twitter, it can be a powerful tool to help you reach your goals.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

  • What Twitter is and how it works.
  • Why people are flocking to Twitter, and what it means for your business.
  • How you can use Twitter to make your brand more visible.
  • How to get started on Twitter.
  • How to use DMs, hashtags, @ replies and more.
  • What your followers want from you.
  • Tools to help you manage your tweets and followers.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

Because this is a Hands On Workshop we ask that you bring an internet capable laptop with you.

NOTE: Feel free to bring your own refreshment or snack to class. There are no vending machines to purchase drinks or food in this office building.

WHERE?

This class will be taught in the awesome meeting room at Mercury Mambo (Where Culture and Commerce Collide!). They are located just south of Barton Springs Road, one block east of South Lamar. Just look for the modern, bright yellow building. You can't miss it and parking is plentiful on either side of the building. IMPORTANT: Many look at the address and assume this is downtown, it's not! Please check out the map to be safe!
